Act of Terrorism

My heart is heavy and goes out to  those who were murdered and their  families. This was a senseless, hateful act of terrorism. The perpetrator is a terrorist. Not mentally ill or a disturbed person.A cold blooded terrorist. The end result will not be a race war.We always are under attack. The war on Black people has been going on since slavery. The overt acts can't be ignored. Thus, the war often flys below the radar, with the number of BLack people that are incarcerated, high unemployment rates, the disrespect and hatred shown to the President, the justice department,
killing of unarmed people not caught on tape and the constant denial of the existence of racism. We as a people have come a long way but this execution shows that we have a long way to go.
Acts of racism and hatred are part of some American's DNA. We as a nation will not face supremacist attitudes and racism head on. Today, take time to pause and reflect. We must fight the war on race with conviction, strength and prayer. We have the pain, hardship, injustice, struggle and discrimination as part of our DNA. So we are not soft when times are difficult. We are a resilient people and will be the last person standing as this fight continues.
